What do you wish for this Christmas?
Finally, I would love to hear what kind of technology you have on your wish list this Christmas? Please drop me a comment below.
Hi Thomas, I have to wonder about a Wi-Fi coffee maker. The thing is, you have to be close by to actually drink the coffee, so if you’re close by, why not just use the coffee maker directly instead of using Wi-Fi?
I got a new stove and it was Wi-Fi enabled, and I just couldn’t see the benefit of connecting the stove to Wi-Fi. If a stove is on, I should be there cooking. I don’t want the stove to be on if I’m not close by. I never connected the stove to Wi-Fi because I didn’t want to turn it on accidentally.
Happy holidays, Thomas!
Hi Carolyn
I am not sure, but I guess you can control the coffee maker over the Internet using the app. In that case you can start it when you are driving from work and there will be fresh coffee by the time you are getting home. A stove with Wi-Fi, I guess is another story, but I am still a bit envious that you have a stove with Wi-Fi 😀
It’s funny. I didn’t even realize the stove did that until it got delivered and I started reading the instruction book. It didn’t explain WHY I might want to connect the stove to Wi-Fi.
I consider connecting a stove to Wi-Fi a safety hazard until someone can explain to me why that’s a good thing.
The Wi-Fi coffee maker is more understandable, for sure!
